Lewis, W.Va. – March 12, 2009- The SHOP 'n SAVE "Students Extra Educational Development (S.E.E.D.)” program will bring two interactive assemblies hosted by the Carnegie Museum of Natural History to Jane Lew Elementary School in West Virginia on March 19. The touring assemblies are high-energy theatrical productions with hands-on science and educational activities for grades pre-kindergarten through eighth.

The "It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's a Bug"” program will begin at 1 p.m. for grades pre-kindergarten through second and will feature interesting facts about insects as the most diverse group of animals in the world. Students will join a brave bug character as it embarks upon a journey through the captivating world of insects in search of super power.  “Bug Mania,” the assembly for grades third through eighth at 2 p.m., will showcase the fascinating life cycle of insects as well as demonstrate the importance of bugs in nature.
