Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Wild Harvest Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 tablespoons Wild Harvest Organic Italian Seasoning

2 teaspoons sea salt

1 teaspoon Wild Harvest Organic Ground Black Pepper

1 teaspoon Wild Harvest Organic Garlic Powder

1/2 teaspoon Wild Harvest Organic Cayenne Pepper

1 (2-3 pound) angus beef shoulder roast

2 cups organic beef broth

1 medium onion cut in half, halves sliced

1/2 green pepper, sliced

1/2 red bell pepper, sliced

1/2 cup garlic cloves

1/4 cup unbleached all-purchase flour

ciabatta rolls or hamburger buns

Directions:

In small bowl, combine oil, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne. Rub over surface of roast.

Place roast in a large slow cooker; add broth, onions, peppers and garlic. Cook on HIGH 4-6 hours or until roast is falling apart. Remove roast; set aside.

In small bowl, whisk together flour and 1/2 cup cold water; stir into broth in slow cooker. Shred roast and add back into slow cooker; continue cooking on HIGH until sauce thickens slightly (about 10 minutes). Serve in buns.
