SHOP 'n SAVE’s independent owners and operators would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all who have helped us raise a total of $43,510 to help MDA transform the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and neuromuscular-related diseases.
Every year, SHOP ‘n SAVE sells shamrocks to increase awareness of muscle disease in the communities of the families we serve. With your donation, we are able to raise funds to:
- Send children living with muscle disease to MDA summer camp
- Support life-changing research
- Contribute to Care Centers, which provides expert multidisciplinary care, clinical trials, and connection to the MDA and the neuromuscular community
- Provide assistance to product and equipment donations
SHOP ‘n SAVE’s Shamrock Program is a way for everyday consumers to contribute and support The Muscular Dystrophy Association, with the hopes of one day finding a cure for neuro muscular diseases, including ALS.
In addition to employees at all of our stores selling green and gold Shamrocks to help with the fight against muscular dystrophy, SHOP 'n SAVE and MDA will also hold the Walter Knopp Golf Classic, which will take place Monday, August 26, 2019. We will also continue our fundraising efforts to this worthy cause through the Aisles of Smiles program.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. It does so by funding worldwide research; by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide; and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement.
